Please delete one of your tests directories (you can just rename it to test by the way).
You can put lpastar params in config.yaml file and parse it as you create your object or move params.py to lpastarProcess. The advantage to use yaml config file is its flexibility. Anyone can change it respecting its format and you must just parse it. In plus it allows eliminate python module's import issue.
