Depending on the context, progress messages are sometimes not logged until completion. It looks like this might be happening because ProgressMeter.jl logs to stderr by default (instead of stdout). Not sure the implications of changing the default in Omniscape though.

Although, now that I read that issue further it looks like it's been fixed. Hmm
