Information about Kodi Live TV integration

History

As you all know Catch-up TV & More allow you to watch some live TV channels in the Live TV section of the add-on.

Also, since Kodi 18, you have the ability to integrate live TV channels provided by the add-on directly in the Live TV feature of Kodi. This feature is possible thanks to the IPTV Simple PVR add-on.

To take advantage of this feature you had to manually select a M3U file from the settings of IPTV Simple PVR. But this method had some disadvantages:

• You have to manually select the M3U file and the XMLTV file/URL in order to have the EPG data
• If you want to add others channels from another M3U file you have to manually create and custom your M3U file

IPTV Manager

Since version 0.2.30 of the add-on we added support of IPTV Manager in the add-on.

This service add-on is able to automatically add live TV channels from any compatible video add-on who provided live TV streams in the Live TV section of Kodi.

This way you do not have to manually select M3U file anymore and you only have to select which live TV channel you want to add to Kodi directly in the add-on settings.

We need your help

If you already use this feature you noticed that we only have EPG data for some countries (France, Belgium, United Kingdom) but there is still a lot of work to do.
Also the VOD feature is still really poor.

Hi, after followed the live tv integration, when i go to TV, il get "PVR manager is starting up: 0%" but it doesn't grow... Is it a known issue ?
