Addon doesn't work anymore with recent versions of FF

as already posted in the review section of the ff addon site. the addon seized to function a couple of FF versions ago.
also other addons with similar functionality stopped working. so i presume something change with the firefox handling of images in general

thank you very much for the fix, but will the addon be updated or how can apply the fix ?
the creator doens't seems to be active anymore. so how does the addon get signed ?
i would really like to use the fixed addon.

I didn't get it signed. I've disabled the required verification by setting xpinstall.signatures.required to false in about:config.

as far as i know that only works for ff<48 or the developer version.

There is a compile option to disable this configuration option, which may be enabled in your build.
