A note on this -- test your stuff in the flight scene before deciding on what adjustments to make
The in-editor reflection map in KSP is not compiled correctly (std cube-map MIPS rather than specular convolution for MIPS), and everything appears way-too-shiny compared to how it will in every other scene in the game.
Just one more thing that KSP does wrong regarding shaders....
Chrome is sexy, but tone it down a bit.
Rivets, seams, frames, top rail, rcs blocks are not made of mirror.
