I need to update this issue as per a very recent board meeting.
The short story, is that we actually do need to collect address information for members due to the cooperatives act.
However, we don’t need to collect this information for random visitors.
I imagine the new flow would be to get name and contact info when creating the user. Then, if the user is getting a membership, we collect address information.
As for name fields, I personally would like to see them changed to “Legal Name:” and “Preferred Name:” for simplification.
I’m away from town atm, but when I get to a laptop next I’ll give more info and make sure my comments are relevant.
