Hi, can the software work, and specially save, in 16bit depth png/tiff format?
If not, the height maps are useless, as 8bit images produce stepping artifacts.

Materialize was made with Unity and AFAIK, Unity does not support 16bit normal maps (yet).
As of now, you can try to interpolate by loading the 8bit maps in GIMP, convert to 16 or 32 bits and use a gaussian blur of 0.5px. Of course this will blur your maps, but at least the stepping artifacts will be reduced. Make sure to check the RGB histogram for gaps.
