i was trying to install the app "steam"

Description

I clicked install and it said there was an internet error but it also said that it couldn't install box86

It looks like you have followed tutorials in the past to add additional package repositories. This is the cause of your problems. Remove what you added, and apt and Pi-Apps will work again.

Ubuntu ports apt repositories does not have i386 and amd64 packages (among others). These are not native architectures to an ARM64 device (such as your Pi5). Remove these architectures and update the package cache with

sudo dpkg --remove-architecture i386
sudo dpkg --remove-architecture amd64
sudo apt update

and do not add non-native architectures again.
