While a “new post” notification is not displayed, its information is still used to populate the news feed, even if the currently logged in Sone does not follow any of the Sones that have new posts.

Reproduce:

  • Have a Sone instance with new posts and replies.
  • Log in (and maybe create) a Sone that does not follow everyone; e.g. a new Sone will only follow the official Sone account.
  • Shortly after logging in on the “Post Feed” page, watch the new posts and replies being inserted into the feed.
