Is atlas_densities/app/data/metadata/thalamus_metadata.json actually used?

I recently accidentally discovered the file atlas_densities/app/data/metadata/thalamus_metadata.json, and am trying to determine if I need to update it at the same time I am updating analogous files in other packages, since the regions in the query are out of date. However, as far as I can determine, this file is used in neither the atlas-densities code nor blue_brain_atlas_pipeline, unlike isocortex_metadata.json etc. Is this actually used? If so, what is it doing?

blue_brain_atlas_pipeline is not invoking that file directly. Unless it is implicitly consumed by some atlas-densities command, I can confirm that it is not used in blue_brain_atlas_pipeline.
