Hi, @themerekat !
I definitely remember talking about combining those three tabs, but the details are foggy. Do you remember what and/or how we had decided to consolidate?

Specifically,

  1. Should the resulting single tab still be distinct from the main editor tab?
  2. What should the new tab be called if so? Maybe, "Status and Hierarchy"?
  3. Currently, in the taxonomic status tab, there's a status section with its own edit button. Separately, there's a synonyms section with its own edit button that seems to do nothing. Should it do something? In any case, I think it should be its own fieldset (or fieldset-like if it doesn't end up needing to be part of the form). Thoughts?
  4. The hierarchy tab displays the hierarchy and has a little "rebuild hierarchy" button. It doesn't seem to do anything other than re-render the page? If that's the case, perhaps we should change the copy? As a naive user of the page, I thought that clicking that button was going to open some sort of editor where I could re-arrange the hierarchy.

  1. Should we move the parent taxon editor over to the editor form?

  1. I also can't figure out a way to change the status from accepted to not accepted on this form.
