Switch from OpenStack API to Terraform

Switching from Java to Python I have implemented a generic provider, but Terraform does just that. As Terraform seems to be very powerful and well maintained, switching from our in-house solution to Terraform could reduce maintenance, testing and development cost while keeping or increasing functionality.

• Take a look at Terraform
• Tag the old BiBiGrid infrastructure as a code to keep the historical state
• See how Terraform could be hooked to our bibigrid.yaml configuration file that is most likely to be kept
• See whether Terraform's configuration schema could be used as an optional alternative format
