Context

I use the desktop app on MacOS while being mobile and regularly switching audio devices.

General information

  • Device: MacBook Pro, 13-inch, M1, 2020
  • OS: MacOS Sonoma 14.5
  • Version of the App: Desktop 5.2.4 - Qt5.15.2
  • Version of the SDK: Core 5.3.41

Expected behaviour

I'd like to be able to set the audio devices to the "system device" so that it automatically follows the OS preferences when attaching external speakers, my airpods, etc.

At the moment, this is not the case and due to the List of devices constantly changing, it becomes unpredictable which devices will be active when starting or accepting a call.

To Reproduce

Go to the audio settings and try to select "system". This doesn't exist, but is a standard macos behaviour.

Also, I'd like to be able to ship this in pre-cooked config files, so a non-machine-specific setting would be great. (The setting or label for the device being macos specific would be fine for me).
