make Bela image on SD card bootable when eMMC has current bb.org image #89

and/or document consistently working workaround:

  • boot from eMMC without SD
  • ssh on the board, e.g.: ssh [email protected], password temppwd
  • run sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mmcblk1p1 count=50
  • insert SD card and reboot.

Thank you so much for posting this here. I only found this after spending a whole day troubleshooting by trying different SD cards and Bela images.

It's easy to understand why this hasn't been prioritized. Most new Bela users won't have a BBB laying around. But anyone who used their existing BBB likely used its eMMC.
