Im installing COSMOS v4 via the Linux/Mac link on the website. I copy and paste into my terminal and the build begins, but fails after a while.
I have a feeling it has something to do with the OpenSSL version. The build always errors out after the line
-> make -j 8
Ill attach the full log if that helps.

You are running into some kind of openssl incompatibility with ruby 2.5.

Unfortunately you will probably have a lot of difficulty getting COSMOS 4 to run on any modern linux distribution or macos. Generally Qt4 is not able to compile either, so that will be your next hurdle.

We created COSMOS 5 to overcome using these obsolete technologies. Please checkout openc3 cosmos 5. https://openc3.com
