I still struggle when trying to find a page of documentation that exists. The struggle centers around:

Which section has the document? (demo, howto, tutorial, ...)
What's the title of the document? (to find it in the section's list)

What tools (in addition to text search) will make it easier to find a documentation page?

Might help to document a couple test cases.
