Root Prim Type Update Poll

We are working on an update to the USD Exporter that allows you to set the Type of the root prim. This will add the ability to set the parent prim to Xform instead of just Scope as it is today. We will continue to default to Scope to make existing scripts work as in the past.

The question the team is debating is about the name of the parentScope flag. Since it will no longer be just for setting a Scope (as you can new choose Xform as well), the team is debating whether we should change the name of the flag or not. Some of our devs feel that the existing name is now confusing because of the new type capability.

So the question is that, since we are changing the concept of parent scope by making it root prim which can be either scope or xform, should we rename the flag parentscope to rootPrim as well?

We would like to have your input on this.
