MayaUSD allows you to import from an SDF layer in memory and you can leverage UFE global selection list to import only what artist selected. Once done, then you can do export these newly imported objects to FBX. I don't have a minimal script to illustrate how to implement it - do you think you have enough to start or would need an example? Cheers, |

My artists are asking if there is a way to selected some nodes inside the usd shape and export those as a fbx file? They want export part of it to hand off to another team.
