Using dot point formatting in an attribute designated as a name field displays values without spaces between names

As a profile editor
If I use dot points in an attribute designated as a name
The values separated by dot points display without spaces in the alternate name area under the title

Requirement

1. Alternate names should be displayed with spaces between them under the title
   This could be done by either:

• adding a space between the names if dot point formatting is used
  OR
• removing the ability to use dot points if the attribute is an alternate name attribute

Whichever option is easier, or there may be other solutions available?
