I've come across a few "hero" images on species pages, that when you click on them, are missing the usual link to the occurrence record for that image.

E.g. https://bie.ala.org.au/species/https://id.biodiversity.org.au/node/apni/2920588

shows the image:

which is missing the usual text at the bottom-right. Compare with a different image on the same page:

  • Fix the hero image so that all metadata is shown on image-viewer panel.

This is preventing users from being able to "Flag an issue" on the images as being misidentified.

There's been a support queue issue raised on this too: https://support.ehelp.edu.au/a/tickets/119780

The truncated credits panel is what appears when the metadata from the image server is missing. However, metadata is being returned.

There appears to be a problem with CORS getting snarky about servers sometimes returning bie.ala.org.au and sometimes bie-uat.ala.org.au in access-control-allow-origin headers. However, this does not seem to be the problem, although it is being investigated.

I think this one can be closed as it's fixed for both Nick's and the user's species examples - unless there's another known example.
