AtChem2 is a modelling software developed from the web application AtChem online. AtChem2 is designed to run box-models using the Master Chemical Mechanism (MCM, http://mcm.leeds.ac.uk/MCM/), but it can be used with any chemical mechanism in the FACSIMILE format.

AtChem2 is open source. The contributors to AtChem online and AtChem2 are listed in the Acknowledgements and Credits page.

Bug reports, suggestions and contributions are welcome. In order to contribute to the repository, please fork AtChem2/AtChem2 to a local repository, make your edits on a branch, and then submit a pull request.

To install and run AtChem2 follow the instructions on the Installation and Dependencies pages.

AtChem online (https://atchem.leeds.ac.uk/webapp/) is a web tool for running simulations using the Master Chemical Mechanism (MCM, http://mcm.leeds.ac.uk/MCM/). It was developed at the University of Leeds within the EUROCHAMP (http://www.eurochamp.org/) project to facilitate the use of the MCM to simulate environmental chamber experiments.

A tutorial with examples and exercises is available at http://mcm.leeds.ac.uk/MCMv3.3.1/atchem/tutorial_intro.htt. A help page with detailed instructions and description of the model parameters and variables is available at https://atchem.leeds.ac.uk/webapp/run/help.html.

AtChem2 is a development of AtChem online, redesigned to run larger simulations and with an improved user interface.
