Apricity can not update #167
Comments
@dvorapa I've updated my system as always and nothing stopped to work. |
@habutre As of today it looks like Apricity is dead (https://apricity-os.github.io/). I hope somebody who has got enough knowledge will take over this best looking Linux desktop I've ever seen. |
And I'm sad, because I don't want to change back to Arch+Arc (although it is almost the same) or Ubuntu (not again, not new versions) |
Just you have to uninstall gstreamer good and then install updates, after install updates you can install gstreamer back just update PKGBUILD dependency to libsoup. |
I'll try, thank you |
Sorry to hear about the end of the distro. |
Fork Apricity OS, new name Condres OS. https://condresos.codelinsoft.it https://www.codelinsoft.it/sito/ |
It lives!!! |
https://www.facebook.com/codelinsoft/posts/10154532401346316 New release up Friday |
https://www.codelinsoft.it/sito/2013-11-17-17-56-34/condres-os.html Condres OS Gnu/Linux 17.06 available. |
More people complained Apricity can not update (also on gitter). There is some problem with gstreamer and/or libsoup:
:: gstreamer0.10-good-plugins: installing libsoup (2.58.0-1) breaks dependency 'libsoup-gnome'
Broken even on clean Apricity Birch (gnome) installation. @agajews could you look into this issue? If I install all other updates without these two, the Apricity stops working properly. E.g. internet connection stops working.
