These topics are included in The Material Point Method for Geotechnical Engineering book. In general terms, the mixed integration method is designed to improve the integration of the model. You can find additional sources by searching Google Scholar. The mass scaling in Anura3D is used to increase the timestep to speed the calculation. In this case is not intended to model the scaling in the centrifuge. Modeling the change of gravity in a centrifuge would best be handled by increasing the multipliers with the "$$GRAVITY_LOAD' flag in the CPS. |

Hi,
I am not able to find the definition and when to use of each of the the computation method in Anura,3D manual on Standard FEM, updated Lagrangian FEM, MPM - mixed integration and MPM-material point integration. Anyone has information on this ?
Is there any working example of using mass scaling function in Anura3D ?
Is mass scaling related to scaling in centrifuge ?
Thanks.
