[Crash]: Placing Vampirism Dark Wood Sign

What happened?

On version 2.3.0, placing down a Vampirism sign seems to have corrupted my world. As soon as I placed it down, the game crashed and I was no longer able to log onto the world. I tried uploading the world to multiplayer and still was not able to get in. Additionally I tried recovering the world by deleting the chunk that the sign was in but still no luck. Not sure what is causing it or what can be fixed.
