Since the start of the school term, I haven’t updated or maintained, and I apologize for that.

It’s the second half of 2024, and I’m currently in my first year of graduate school. There aren’t too many classes, but they still take up a fair amount of time. College life always comes with many tasks that aren’t very useful yet have to be done.

Additionally, I’m focusing most of my time and effort on research, hoping to achieve results soon. I started at a lower level than others, so I’m eager to increase my personal value as quickly as possible.

Furthermore, while using WebUI to respond to various touch operations is convenient, there are still areas not fully covered by the API, and performance is slightly subpar for certain high-frequency operations. If I want to go further, I may need to refactor the project and use a UI with Rust bindings (though only the masking portion would need to be restructured). This is a considerable challenge, as it means my current efforts may eventually have to be redone entirely, which is one of the main reasons for the delay in updates.

In short, I currently don’t have enough time and energy to bring scrcpy-mask to a satisfactory state. I’ll focus on tackling these issues once I have a more stable amount of free time.
