Followed steps but stuck at 'Fetching card list...'

I've followed the steps outlined in this repository's README, as well as the steps outlined in the documentation which I believe are the same. I managed to get to a running UI but I just get 'Fetching card list...' forever as soon as the UI opens up:

The steps indicate that "The dapp will ask you to switch to the wallet to Accept the Dapp Connection.", but this never happened for me. I just get the above screen, which interestingly shows 'Dapp Approved' even though I never approved it. Nothing shows up on the wallet side.

I am running:

• node v18.12.0
• agoric 0.18.2 (i.e. community-dev branch)
• Mac with Apple silicon
