Meta-Request (not to include something, but about the list itself) #20
Comments
Love it! And similar to @takidelfin's repo logo, it would be awesome to see the badge created in XD, and have that XD file included in the repo. |
Just to get an idea of how something like this could look like (especially inside the GitHub Markdown itself), I've created two versions of the badges (both in rounded and flat β like the original awesome badges): Version AVersion BPlease note that I've just created these for reference (and shamelessly "stolen" elements from the logo of the repo β credit goes to @takidelfin β as well as the original badge β credit to whoever created that one) π (if this really should get used, it might be wise to get the permission to get the permission of those individuals, I in no way claim to be the creator β I just mashed those two things up π β I'm not responsible for any legal issues if this gets used) Please note that those would be SVG, so they should (hopefully) look a bit better β it's just that we can't upload SVG files to GitHub comments... |
I think it might be useful (and cool β I won't pretend that this is completely selfless π) to have some sort of badge ("mentioned in the xd-awesome list") for the list. This would
Getting serious again, other lists use a "central" badge: https://github.com/sindresorhus/awesome/blob/master/awesome.md#awesome-mentioned-badge
However, xd-awesome doesn't fit the "default" naming scheme of such lists (
awesome [list name]
), which is why it could be useful to use an own badge (than also featuring the awesome list name, the "correct" colors β like in the list's logo etc.)I'm just putting this out here as an idea, but if it gets "implemented", I'd suggest creating the badge as SVG, putting it into this repo (e.g., as
mentioned-badge.svg
) so that projects could use[![Mentioned in xd-awesome](https://github.com/AdobeXD/xd-awesome/raw/master/mentioned-badge.svg)](https://github.com/AdobeXD/xd-awesome)
to include the badge. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
