Create a portal homepage that has the following features. Not all will pan out but this is a chance to try things and discard them if no good...

big search input like Google
iconic species with thumbnail images, that scrolls left-right
top-10 species with highest number of genome records (Koala)
pie graph showing relative numbers of records for:
- species groups
- % linked to specimens records
- % taxa with data (any data), and a breakdown by data type (whole genomic, mitogenomes, SNP, etc.)
- % of EPBC species have data/no data
