Adaptive mesh refinement for a vortex passing through a shock wave

Hi,
I am modelling the passage of a vortex through a shock wave on AMReX base. If grid adaptation is switched off, the solution is more or less correct (fig.1). However, if I switch on mesh adaptation, strong oscillations appear (fig.2). What could be the problem?

What is your numerical methods? scheme, and AMR interpolation methods?
