when printing the QR codes from KDE's okular, okular feels that it is appropriate to put a black border immediately around the QR code. I believe this is the cause for qr2asc refusing to decode the printed and scanned QR code, see attachment.
Please consider putting a reasonably size white border around the generated picture so that okular doesn't break the printed code.
