Network error while sign up

Steps to reproduce:

1. go to https://www.studio26f.org/login
2. enter your email and press "continue"
3. on the next screen press "Sign in / Sign up with verification code"

The red banner "Network error ERR_NETWORK" is displayed.

Particle_G, the server maintainer, has been really busy for the last few months, and I don't expect this to be fixed any time soon.

Also, this is the bug tracker for the game (client), not the website, and definitely not the server.
@MrZ626 should we pin this issue so (hopefully) no more duplicates are made?
