歡迎各種科系的學生，不再是只有資訊背景的人能夠在此一展長才。不管你是活動咖，超會辦活動和帶high氣氛，或是social咖，手腕超好，能談成許多來頭不小和金額豐厚的贊助。只要是有Hacker spirit，都歡迎你來此一展長才，碰撞不同領域，激發出前所未有的火花。

Hackathon是由寫程式『Hack 』和馬拉松『 Marathon』兩部分組成，Hack 原指解決問題、創意程式設計等意思，而非蓄意破壞、竊取機密文件之意。<br>Hackathon 是國外（知名企業和大學如：Facebook、Yahoo、Evernote、紐約大學、賓州大學等皆有舉辦相關活動）十分流行的創意發想的方式，在活動中人們會放下手邊工作，在輕鬆的環境享受美食，並腦力激盪各種解決問題的創意，透過程式設計和設計師以及問題發想者等合作，在有限時間內完成問題界定、創意發想、作品實作、成果展示，通常活動為一天或連續兩天到一週不等。
