From https://openbadges.org/get-started/earning-badges/#earnaquick

You can get a quick start to your badge collection by earning a really simple badge.

When the challenge is complete, the insecure website has a modal box asking me to share my username/password for the OpenBadges site.

This is a security risk, teaches users to fool for phishing, and looks really unprofessional.

100% agree, thank you for documenting @edent . Since this "earn a badge" tool is hosted outside of openbadges.org (IMS Global), the short-term remedy is to remove references to this tool. Also recommend opening an issue here: https://github.com/toolness/hackasaurus-parable
